you can run them with the stock wheels but i would go with 32 11.50 and some new 8inch wheels. or keept he 31's and get some 8inch wheels! just my 2 cents

also i have seen some 3inch lifts with 31's and they were not to bad. red

Man...this sucks....all I see now is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

New wheels, new tires....THEN the lift....UGH!!!!

I could probably keep my 31's on the stock rims if I did a 2" lift....but then....is a 2" lift really worth the trouble?

Hehe once the ball starts rolling, its hard to stop. As in, once you start adding on to your truck, its hard to stop.

2" lift was worth it to me, because I did it for the performance, not for the lift. And an extra 2" doesn't hurt.

How does 2" of lift increase performance?

It's not the 2" of lift that increase his performance, but the lift options he put on his truck. He bought some nice quality coil overs which has increased the trucks off-road capabilities. Mainly higher speed off-roading. That's what he meant by increased performance.

The off roading that I will be doing isn't going to be high speed....I just need some extra ground clearance. I'm just going with some spacers in front and an AAL with longer shocks in the rear.

It doesn't. The way I achieved my 2" of lift is what increased performance. I decided to spring for some expensive front shocks, and they perform much much better than the stock bilsteins. They also happen to give 2" of lift.
