Do you guys think I should get the AR rims or the Tech 1's? The only difference is the red and blue stripe the ARs have and the lack of on the Tech 1's. Here are some pics, i know the Tech 1's are on a heep, but it's a good close up shot
I was thinking of getting the Tech1's but I was told by everyone that they didn't fit. And the people (idiots) at 4wheelparts wouldn't let me test fit one and told me they wouldn't fit so they're not getting my business. If you can get them to fit, that's great! I was told they don't fit the newer tacos. Sorry to burst your bubble if they don't fit. Hope the info i got was wrong.
Actually, I think what you've seen on late model tacos is probably the U.S. Wheel 84 series. Do a google search and you'll find plenny of pics of this wheel. They're $36 bucks at Summit Racing for a 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing. This wheel has been known to fit some tacomas and not fit others, so they must be a tight fit regardless. I'd try some of those, they look very similar to what you seem to want.
the teck ones would be my choice. but if they don't fit like dan says then get the AR's but take off those strips they are not good looking! red
I was the only one that voted for the AR's! LOL! I new everyone was going to vote for the Tech's because of the stripes on the AR's but, I thought I would try and help them out a bit. The plus side of the AR's is that the red stripe will match your truck! LOL.
thanks guys but it turns out you can't run an aftermarket 15" steel rim on a tacoma. only the factory 15s or aftermarket alloys will fit. the 16" tech-1s will fit but i'd like to say with the 15" because tires are over 50 bucks cheaper each! so for now i'm just gonna stick with stock rims and figure it out down the road
