Default Tire Help

I have a 2002 4x4 taco with p265/70/16 tires. I would like to keep the stock suspension in place but, the terrain I cover demands an aggresive tire, However I cover a lot of highway to get to these sites (750-1000 miles a week). I Have always had good luck with BF Goodrich MT's however the closest size they make is a 265/75/16. Does any body know how these tires would work regarding fitment?

Default Re: Tire Help

I have a 2001 TACO 4x4 TRD, im also running the stock 265/70/16's, and am about to get some more aggressive tires, i had good luck with my BFG AT's on my last TOY so im going to go with the new BFG MT's on this one. Id also like to go with the 265/75/16's and i think they will work ok, as they are only about an inch taller and no wider then the 265/70. Have you got any advice on this or have you already put these size tires on your truck?

thanks, jon

I had 265/70/16 on my 2001 Tacoma 4x4. I switched to 265/75/16 because I wanted tires a little bigger without doing any mods. My truck does sit about an inch taller. The ride hasn't changed at all. The ones I put on are Cooper Discoverer AT's. I chose these because I do mostly highway driving but I also do some offroading. Plus I got a really good deal on them. The BFG's were quite a bit more than the Coopers. Hope this helps.
(265/75/16 is just a little bigger than 31.5 x 10.5)
