Default What seats for 1st Gen 4Runners?

This is probably a FAQ somewhere, but I can't find it. Does anyone have a list of the vehicles whose seats are a drop in replacement for the stock fronts in a 1st Generation 4Runner? While something from another Toyota truck would be ideal I'd take anything with the same rail placement that'll fit. Everyone else with 20+ year old Runners must be dealing with this by now, so I'd love to know your solution.

Thanks,
Fred Vachss

Any 84-88/89 truck/4Runner bucket seat will bolt in... I believe those are the only true plug and play swaps. I have seats from a 90 SR5 4Runner that are pretty close to a plug and play... I had to widen a couple holes on the seats to mount them to the floor, and I reused the pass side rail and mechanism to retain access to the rear seats, I just swapped the seat and back onto my old frame esentially...

I put APC race seats in my 87, but I had to make some brackets for them to fit.

Its been a while for sure. My 4Runner is off getting flames painted on it. Then, I have to get the interior redone. I also need to find a seamstress that sew me a new Can-back top. I have been so happy with the Can-back, and it is still in very good shape, but soon it will be time for a re-do.
