Default Uphill smoke smokes smoking problem solved!!!

Strange subject so anyone with this problem can find this post.

I've had my truck for about a year and from day one it ran great, but smoked bad when going up steep hills. Awhile ago I read a post that mentioned the "uphill mosquito fogger" problem, and said that a bolt had fallen down the rear oil drain hole under the valve cover. Well I read it and being a bit pessimistic at the time figured I'd never get that lucky.

Well today I did. I finally got a chance to take it apart and stick my head back there and I found a nut blocking most of the drain hole. Long story short, I'm elated, and a little bit wiser.

It may or may not have been my fault, because I can't remember if the problem showed it's self before I went in to adjust the valves. But it was one of the nuts that holds the air cleaner asembly to the valve cover. Which is odd, because that's about the first thing you take off and I can't think of a good reason for it to be near the engine befor the valve cover is back on. Or maybe I dropped it down the oil fill hole and it rattled it's way back there? Scary. I'm just glad it's out of there.
