 Engine and parts sources
Hello everyone. After a few years of sitting out back, I'm thinking of getting my 86 4Runner back on the road. What initially put her down was a spark plug insulator cracking off inside the engine. Still runs, but with what seems like all the power of a 6 horse briggs and stratton. Not like the 12.5 horse she used to be. At any rate, I'm thinking of a reman engine. What are some normal priced suppliers with good reps and warranty? Bear in mind I'm a stock Toyota guy, so no fancy ****e is needed (ie LC Engineering etc etc). Also, there will be a need for some front suspension parts like the torsion rods, pitman arm and the like. Any positive experiences out there? I'm just in the price estimate phase now. Thanks guys.
