Well, I don't see a congregating place for new guys, so I'm landing here. I'm sure you'll tell me if I'm in the wrong place. Seems like every board I look at is getting on the thin side these days. I hope the economy picks up soon so people will think a little more about their hobbies than their eco woes.

Newbie or Oldbie, as long as it's Toyota, you're in the right place!
I did hear yesterday that economists have decided we are at the bottom, so we should expect recovery now. Or simmering at the bottom for months first?
It does seem on the Boards that there are more discussions about making the old baby last - though for four-wheelers, that's always been more common than the general population. But there are more discussions about non-wheeling stuff, as people just stay home and talk about it instead of actually doing it.
Recent Trail closures coast-to-coast aren't helping either...

I here ya. This my first 4x4 since 1988. I had a 79 GMC Jimmy, 350, auto, with those big fat mud tires on it. Really wrecked my fender wells. Then I had a 76 Ford 3/4 ton pickup with a 429, 4 speed stick (I rebuilt the motor in that one). Then I lost my job and ... you know the story... no more 4x4. Now I have the FJC and hope to keep that for along time. Okay, I'm done now. |

I used to live on this board, but have not visited at all in @ a year, and regularly for several. I have learned so much from this board. This was almost like my family at one time. Maybe we'll all come back around as we diverged. There truly is something sentimental about this forum to me.

What are you talking about? Off-Road.com was started by, built on and is still perpetuated by Know-It-Alls!
They're our life blood, baby.
