Default Load Sensing Proportioning Valve

Anyone know where I can get a LSPV for a 1984 Truck 4WD, except from the stealership ?

Roger thanks for the link, I would have to contact them since they do not list the part in their parts list breakdown. I would have to question the condition of the part since it is used. I found a new part from a toyota discount parts house at an acceptable price.
Has anyone ever rebuilt a LSPV, can they be rebuilt ?
I am definently keeping my old one.
Finding older toyota's in junk yards in my area is usally a waste of time, they are sent oversea's as soon as they come in.

Default Lspv

Front Range Off-Road makes a nice aftermarket adjustable one.
Front Range Off-Road Fabrication
Don't have one myself, but some guys over at Pirate do. It looks like you mount it up by the master cylinder and it's adjustable, too.

Is yours toast? Serviceable? I think I remember reading somewhere about servicing them. Maybe 4x4wire.

I removed my LSPV and put in an adjustable unit by the Brake Booster in the engine bay.
It took a little while to adjust it properly, but it is now dialed in.
I bought it from Summit Racing.

Exclamation LSPV Problems

I've pulled my LSPV cleaned it and got it working properly. Seems most of the problem is right at the very bottom where the boot for the pin that contacts the cross bar is. Moisture builds up inside the boot and causes corrosion which locks the valve in either the compressed position (heavy load) or no load position. Carefully disassembling and cleaning the valve should work, but be forwarned if you're not mechanically inclined you could cause more damage and down your vehicle until you can purcase a new one or loose your brakes unexpectedly causing an accident. This is not a task for the beginer!

I finally pulled mine if anyone is looking for a working used one. I put in the rear discs and currently have no prop. valve installed but will be adding the Wilwood valve if needed.
