Should I uninstall? Or click restore default settings? | If you uninstall you won't have any video drivers and it will be windows default with the small screen.
When you install new drivers they usually do go small by default so try to bring the screen resolution up...Right click the desktop/click personalize/display settings. Here you should be able to change the resolution to 1024x768 or higher depending on your type of screen. Most likely it's 640x480.
If it gets out of hand PM me and I will give you my cell # to call me.

Still says I have ATI RADEON Xpress 200 series though....

I wasn't gonna play the let's brag about our spec's game but since you started here are mine.
P4 Extreme Edition 3.4ghz FSB 800mhz
2gb Kinston DDR2 @ 800mhz
GForce 6600 Overclocked Core-533mhz DDR2-633mhz stable
SATA Plextor 18x DVD-R R/W DL burner
IDE Lite-On 52x CD-R/W
SATA 300gb HDD
IDE 120 gb hdd
5.1 surround sound via optical feed into dolby digital receiver
20" Monitor
HP Laserjet 4 to print pubs
HP PSC all in one to print photos
Wireless keybaord and mouse
ATI TV Wonder 650 to take care of media center, and recording shows
Wireless G w/Speedbooster all over the house (soon to be wireless N)
And a Antec 650w to throw power to all this garbage
Just got new setup for 2nd unit and will be very similar w/exception of
Core 2 Duo @ 1.6 and will be overclocked for sure
DDR2 @ 1033mhz definately 2gb min could throw 4gb at it
onboard 8.1 surround
Board supports ATI Crossfire (but i'm an nvidia fan so might look for SLI)
Will probably get all SATA drives for fast through-put and look at putting this one inside a media case in the livingroom to replace my DVD player and VCR.
Also got an HP Laptop and a Toshiba laptop for the wife.
Damn, maybe if I sell some stuff I can build that 7M?! | Wow, nice boxes mudrunner88. I don't know if your bragging comment was directed at me or not, but I've found that if I say I just got a new MacBook Pro, most people ask what it's got in it. Doesn't matter, I'm not butt-hurt by your comment or anything.
So yeah, if you're an nvidia fan and you want to donate that Crossfire board I can PM you my address...
Since you've been running Vista and know it's requirements, how well would it run on a 2.2Ghz Athlon XP 1.5GB of Kingston DDR-400 HyperX, vid card is an AGP 8x ATI Radeon X800 Pro. Older system I know, but that's what I get for being in school.

| | 83GMC, yeah it was directed toward ya but just messin' with ya, Your specs sound fine to run vista, BUT I am assuming your ram is a 512mb ddr and you upgraded with a 1gb chip...What I would do is get rid of the 512mb and get another matching 1gb chip for a total of 2gb. Pay close attention to the board, if it's dual channel ddr then yeah you want both chips to be the same or bios will default back to single ddr and it runs slower.
You can run Vista with those specs but don't expect Aero to run smoothly with all the fancy smancy stuff they eye candy you with. Games might be sluggish though...If your a gamer and can't afford a upgrade then stick with XP for now until you can build a powerhouse for vista.
board for sale right now is a DG965WH from Intel. New in box only broke the seal to see if it worked and flashed it to the new bios. Here are the specs
LGA775 socket for intel core 2 duo, pentium D, Pentium 4, or Celeron D procs.
DDR2 800/667/533 four slots, dual channel (8GB max)
1 ATA IDE connector 100/66
1 Floppy connector
6 SATA ports (3.0 Gb/s)
Intel G965 Express Chipset with onboard graphics x3000 with intel clear video
RAID 0,1,10,5
Three PCI slots
Three PCI x1 Slots
PCI Express x16 Slot
Intel Onboard Pro 10/100/1000 LAN connection
Intel High Def 7.1 Surround with optical and coaxial and mini jacks
IEEE-1394 on board 1 on rear (2 supported)
6 rear USB ports (up to ten supported)
Complete in box with all warranty papers, software package, cables, I/O plate you name it...$100 takes it...I need to buy a turbo for the 7M!
Wayne, after you did all this is your error gone now? If it isn't let me know...I can walk you through the steps to disable that over the phone, not nearly as bad as you think it might be...Just need to know where to look and click.

My bad, I should've elaborated it's an MSI KT880 Delta board and I've got 3x 512MB chips in it right now.
Am I a gamer? Not in the strictest sense, I'm so freakin' busy with school now I've got time to play the original Halo about an hour a week. I don't play any of the MMORPGs out, nor do I have an interest. When Halo 2 does come out I hope I'll either have a lul in school or summertime; 'cause, GAME ON!
I'll let you know if there is an Intel system on my horizon or not; I doubt it though right now, my tax return isn't big enough to put a new box together.
