| | well, pretty much finished up one side of the hydro mount.
fixed the radiator. shortened up the hydro mount bolts about 1/2 inch.
trying to figure out if I should make the tie rod mount the weak link.
or if I should just do it up the way I want and hope the cylinder doesnt break anything.
only had two hours to work on it today after work.
OK the cylinder puts out 5500 pounds force when supplied with 3000 psi of pressure.
the Toyota pump has no max listed anywhere. just to replace it if it is lower then 1250.
so I am going to guess that with the pressure that my old pump puts out I am looking at around 1500 to 1700 pounds of force.
I would sure think the arms and steering stops would take that.
with all the extra parts that I have I can replace anything that breaks.
so the other hand just says do it. |

there are many aw some write ups on this already.
like the trail gear set up.. but I am adding a cooler and modding the pump a bit. my cylinder is a bit larger, well the shaft is. the mounts that I am making are more beefy. my cylinder has the heim joint welded on. so the trail gear mount would not work. mine has to be horizontal to keep the fittings pointed backwards. |

| | How about some links to the write-ups and maybe a few photos as you go along...I just read something about take apart the stock box and drilling an extra hole in it to use that as the hydro supply for the actuator.

| | I just picked up a rear ubolt flip kit from Rockstomper.com.
That will give me something to play around with! I am going to add an extra leaf spring at the same time.

| | well got the hydro together.
seems to work well. pulled the steering box back out to reseal some of the fittings, slow leak uggg. so one one of the factory fittings. A centering valve thing I used Teflon tape and some silicone gasket former. letting that dry over night.
had to make some adaptor plates for the bumper mount. it was really odd.
after tach welding it down. fabbing it up. it hit the fenders. so had to space it out about 1.5 inches further.
guess pink paint shrinks steel.. lol yes, it is pink.
then I need to come up with a front drive shaft.
turn the truck around and start on the rear springs. rear should be a one day deal... Just need to fab a dropped hard line bracket
weld on the new front spring mounts. cross brace the shackles that I made. |

| | have not driven it yet, maybe this week.
see how the rear springs come out, that bolt by the gas tank is allways a pain. Plan is to saws all the bolt.
also hopeing the small leak in the steering box is now gone. I ground down the toyota stamp. Used tape on it. Tightened the heck out of it.
also I drilled out the restrictor on the pump to 13/64s I think. My plan book is out in the truck.
the cooler that I picked is the hayden 401.
