| | Re: Introduction to \"unseen friends\" -OT yeh we both have 85 toyota's so it is way good for parts alone.
the guy that has it is not mechanicaly inclined. maybe dump some gas in it and it may fire off and run.
these fawking toyotas are tough.. and that is no shitttt.
heck maybe we can make this a test. I have not seen it. bought it today for the 75 bucks. hood has been off for so long that the dist cap is discolored in the pictures that I got of it.
will start a thread and let you know how it go's.
I figure pull it up to the junk yard, pull off the lock outs and I am 70 bucks in the green right there. pull the front end and I am 350 in the green. blah blah blah... parts. I figure I can rape it for 1200 or so in parts alone.
trans transfer, shafts, axles.. yep.. I am a toyota raper.... rape that is not rapp... lol
so look for the saga of the 75.00 toyota..will be a few weeks before I can pick it up. I hope the pictues that I have I can down load, and post up.... |

| | Re: Introduction to \"unseen friends\" -OT I have a truck too...
I know 2toy, it seems like most posts here are pretty brief and I think that's what prompted the "this board is lame" thread a while ago. With good reason too I guess, lots of people were busy, not posting, little for new topics... 4x4wire looked all cool because there was tons of discussion and people who were still doing lots of big mods and spending tons of dough.
I like this site because it is laid back though. How many times have you heard a topic go back and forth between 'knowledgable' people and turn into a never ending arguement about something that doesn't really matter anyway. On this board, sometimes we get to arguein' but mostly it is just straight forward tech, which for an old hand or a newbie who just needs a quick answer to a question before they take the biggest BFH that they have to their truck is pretty nice. Nice to be able to write in and share stories without lots of flaming about staying on topic too.
Just my two cents,

| | Re: Introduction to \"unseen friends\" -OT I know I'm a little late on this thread but I can't find any pictures of my wife and I together! I guess that means we need to find someone to operate the camera besides us! I will see what I can dig up and post after I take a look at fixing the car. |
