3rd and 4th gears keep trying to jump out

Great post - Thanks for the opportunity to get some help for myself.

Ok, 89 Toy pickup with only 130,000 miles, 22re. Full fluid and lube jobs done mid last year. New clutch last year. Now, recently I have noticed that 3rd and 4th gears (occasionally, not always) will lightly pop out or resist going into gear. I have reviewed the other posts but would like to hear some advice again on possible causes and if the bushings/spacers at the bottom of my shifter need to be replaced then a procedure and part#'s would be great.

This site has been great at fixing my other trucks so why not give it a try with this one.. Thanks a bunch....Todd

I would guess shifter bushing first. Really easy to change. 30 minute job if you take your time. Marlin crawler carrys them, also they would have a good idea about the popping out of gear thing, as they are the Toy trans experts.

Do you by any chance have a big body lift?
