| | | Get my 94 toy pickup std cab tomorrow..... Getting a 4cyl 1994 toy pickup 4x4 tomorrow with 75,000 miles. Gorgeous original dark blue paint and shiny chrome bumpers. Unfortunately everything is stock.
What are the largest tires that will fit on stock? I am wanting to get a body lift, once I can afford good size tires as well.
Any suggestions about anything for this truck? I'm new to the Toyota world. |

| | Re: Get my 94 toy pickup std cab tomorrow..... 31x10.5 is the largest size that will fit stock, however you will change several things (slightly) by increasing to this size. Suggestions for mods? In general, Locker(s), winch, lift, in that order. Clearance isn't the weak link on toyotas, traction adding devices will help get you on top of anything :-) (It's still cheating in my book!).
Get used to the truck and get it/keep it in good running order...there is nothing greater than seeing a mostly stock rig kicking [censored] based only on driver skill... |

| | | Re: Get my 94 toy pickup std cab tomorrow..... I paid $7,000 for a truck that seems to be in near perfect condition. Interior and exterior look brand new.
The NADA retail value of the truck is around $8500.
Is yours 4x4? If you are getting rid of the rear driver side splash guard for any reason let me know. |

| | | Re: Get my 94 toy pickup std cab tomorrow..... Sweaty, the 31 X 10.5 size you mention, is this for the styled steel factory rims ro some of the aluminum versions that were available? I also have a 94 that is stock with styled steel wheels and would like to keep the rims but get a larger more aggressive tire. Any info appreciated. Thanks |

| | Re: Get my 94 toy pickup std cab tomorrow..... A 32" can fit if you crank up the T bars a tad.
I have room on my rig with the SAW T bars cranked, but I'm happy with the 31's for now.
May go 32" next time. Really like to go 33", but I'd have to sink mega $$$ into new gearing front & rear, then a locker out back.
This is the way mine sits on 31's with Downey coils aft, and the T bars cranked a tad. http://www.pnw4runners.net/runs/8302/21024.jpg
It looks like 32s would be no problem. |

| | Re: Get my 94 toy pickup std cab tomorrow..... Width, true ride height (of the tire), suspension set up (soft/hard, IFS live axle), width and offset of the wheels will all determine wheather or not they will rub. There are also different levels of "fit." "Fit" for my works purposes is "don't hit nothing when on the ground in full range of turning" "Fit" for me is "don't hit nothing in the full suspension travel, and turning." But then again I actually go off pavement. TheCarterMan was able to get 33 9.5's to with with AAL and about 1" of t-bar crankin' there are a lot of factors. But no matter what size you get if they are bigger than stock, pound out your inner fender well body seam...makes for some more room and less tire chunkin' if you rub. |

| | | Re: Get my 94 toy pickup std cab tomorrow..... Ive got a '94 V6 std cab $x$, i run 31x10.5r15 BFG mud terrain t/a kms on 15 x 8 steel wheels.
Mine tend rub on the inner fender well where the mudflaps attatch when I am at full steering lock and compressed beyond the extent that happens driving on the street. its not so bad that i would go to smaller tires, but it is rather annoying.
I have SAW 25mm torsion bars (they are awesome, but probably need to be adjusted as i havent done so since i installed them) and am currently without a sway (anti-roll) bar, so that might be affecting it too.
i paid 7600 for mine a year and a half ago in excellent condition witn 80k on it | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
