Default BJ 70 for Sale WI

Hello
I found what I think is a BJ 70 for sale near Milwaukee WI. I will call on it tommarrow. I don't know what year it is, but I wanted to confirm that it is a BJ 70. Do any of you have pictures or web sites I could visit to see pictures of one. What years should I look for? What issues? I don't know much about it now, but tommarrow I will get more info. It looks to be in a bad shape, primer for paint and no rear windows. I didn't think they where sold in the states.

Thanks
Ryan

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ70 and BJ70 and HJ70 were never sold in the United States. In fact no diesel Land Cruiser was ever sold in the USA except to the US Gov., the military, and US departments that deal with worldly events. F means it is a petrol or gas motor. The B and H stand for Diesel motors. The B and 3B motors are 4 cylinder diesels and the 3B is the better of the two. The H is for the inline 6 diesel which are very hard to find even in Canada. Anyway they are a great find in the States and you are lucky as most have not been allowed to be registered in the States. Some states might still allow registration but the majority say no and US Dot standards as well as smog, etc. wont allow them to be brought into the US and be registered. We even have a girl that works for the DMV and she had to sale her truck in Canada because they would not allow her to drive it here because she was working in the US.
There are a few web sites that have full page lay outs of the factory brag sheets with photos and all. Or you can surf the web and search under FJ70 or BJ70 or Land Cruiser 3B. Most the 70 series being sold in th States that are legal run between 6500 to 15,000 depending on location and ofcourse condition and any modifications and upgrades. I have never seen one in person but I hear they are about the same size as the Isuzu Troopers. The two door shortly troopers not the long wagon series that are the same size as an FJ60. Good luck and let us know if you buy it.
