any eperience importing a diesel form canada

i want to get my hands on a bj40 or 42. imoprting from canada might be my best option. I'm in seattle so the borders just a quick jaunt north. The rules on importing are hard to deciper and maybe there is a quick way around it. Maybe nobody asks if the cruiser is diesel so you just import it as a duplicate of the FJ40 that is so common. if anybody has imported a diesel cruiser i'd love to know how you did it. maybe you've even got one for sale???
