FJ60

Please help a guy who loves his 85 fj60 but is not so mechanically inclined. My cruiser needs intake and exhaust manifold leaks repaired. While this is being done would it be worthwhile to install a header? If so - what make and where can I get it....Thanks.Jim.

A header would give you some power but the people that come to mind for a header is Downey or North West Off Road but i heard their service sucks so look into LC enginering they are in Lake Havasu, they have adds in all the offroad mags so look in them,

I have also hear Norh West has horrible service, but I disagree about Downey. I have nothing but great luck with them. Anytime I have a problem, the owner calls ME back. Downey has the best header. It has the flattest flange to prevent those irritating leaks. The only thing I dont care too much for is the fact that they are chrome. (but almost all of them are) I would order the header "raw" (no chrome minus the warranty) and have it HPC coated or Jet Hot (this only applies to us in the salt belt) If you live in AZ or Cali, then, leave it chrome.
