| | CB Mounting and Antenna? Been awhile since I've seen these boards....so here I go, anyone out there knows of a good place to mount a CB and antenna in/on a 08 FJ? I have looked this thing over from bumper to bumper inside and out and still can't find a decent place to mount them at. I know I've seen a pic on the web showing the antenna mounted on the upper rear door hinge but it did'nt show any details since it was a ad for other products on the FJ. Any suggestions would be a great help! I thought of the rear portion of the console would work, but its too handy to put it in there. THANKS!!! |

| | Buy the Bandi Mount from Walcott CB. Or, pickup the Big Bill Combo (includes CB and antenna) from the same place.
Bandi mount is the defacto antenna mount for the FJ. And, Bandi is a friend of mine!
Cheers,
Rip

| | That's just the mount I was looking for! Thanks a bunch vripley.
I used to drive semi's awhile back and still have a few cb's on hand including a new one with the weather channel. I'm still looking for that one spot to mount it. Thanks again!!! |

| | I mounted my CB on the backside of the console. Watch and make sure that your armrest(s) will work and that you can still "lay" the seat down without banging into the CB. Mine is a fullsized, so I tilt mounted it back there to allow for seat adjustments and all.
Cheers,

| | Yeah Rip, that is one place I was looking at. Except my twin boys have wild feet, so it looks like I can always put some kinda armour plating around it to help protect it. I was looking to mount it up on a custom overhead console, but with the airbags and all, it don't seem to be a good idea.
