Default Lift or no Lift

I have a nice 2007 FJ Cruiser and I love it. Recently I went off-roading in vermont and I had no problems aside from my "street" tires. So I have a few questions.

1-) Is it worth putting a 6 inch lift on the FJ, will that void my warranty, and what lift do you recommend? (Can you provide me with a URL)

2-) I am looking for more aggressive, bigger tires for my stock FJ that will fit pre-lift. What do you recommend?

Eagerly awaiting your responses!

We have 265/70/17 Nitto Terra-grapplers on ours, had it up in No. Carolina last year for some wheeling and they did quite well. We drove up and back over 1800 mi. on the road and they great.

I run 285/75-16 mud tires without a lift and I have no rubbing issues.

The 6-inch lifts that are available require some cutting of the frame crossmember and put the CV's at a bad angle. If you must lift, go with a more mild 3" OME or something similar.

Visit my clubs forum (FJ BRUISERS FORUM - Index) for discussions about lifts.
