Default 8.6

What was your original tire size? (Look on your VIN sticker in the door jamb.) Probably someone already messed with it. What's the lockout count now that you've used one? I suspect it's 4 or less.

maybe you have an auto-ranging PSOM that sensed the new tires? you must not be the first one to have put 33's on the truck

also, you've been going WAY slower than your speedo reads, so you've probably been following the law and you didnt even know it

Ok the VIN is 1FMEU15N6RLA87608 The Axel code is H9 if that helps.

If the speedo has ben off, which it seems, that would explaine the 2 times I went flying by a cop going s#!+ and they never blinked

Might this also explain the bad ping\knock I get at about 3000 rpm underload? I've been chaseing this problem since I got the truck. I've upgraded the ignition and opened up the air way some and moved the ping fron about 2600rpm up to 3000rpm witch moved out of normal driving range but under load or going up hil I lose power and it starts knocking prety hard.

Default Codes

I didn't want the VIN or axle code - I wanted the original tire size that's printed on that sticker. I'm also curious what your current lockout count is on the PSOM.

Your VIN only gives this info:
1FM - Ford Truck USA
E - 6000-7000 GVWR brakes
U15 - Bronco
N - 5.0L
6 - check digit
R - 1994 model
L - built at Wayne, MI plant
A87608 - S/N

That axle code only means that it's a limited slip (H) with 3.55 (9) ratio & 3800lb capacity.

Ok, I need to read ALL the directions first. The problem was my mis reading the 806E and the setting. New issue I can't seem to get the PSOM to go into set mode. I have found the wire and ground it out to both the dash ground and a interior light ground both of which tested as good grouns with a meter but the PSOM will not "flash" and let me chang the settings per the directions in this thread. Any ideas?

Default Flashing

It probably won't flash until you press the Select button the first time.

So what's your original tire size???

Orignal size was 265/75R15. I'll try it again tonight and see if I can get it to work. Hopping up my 69 Firebird I know all this computer controlled stuff makes me nuts.

Default Nuts

You think playing with the plastic gears inside the t-case would be relaxing?????? I went to a LOT of trouble to switch to the PSOM because it's SOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier IMO! And I don't regret it!
