Default new to this

Hi everyone im new to this forum and i got a question. Where are the vents on the trans is there two? one in the bell housing and the transmission? im goin wheelin this weekend and dont wanna suck stuff in there.. heard it can be bad..

also.. found out one of the bolts that connect my bell housing to my engine was coming out today so i screwed the stud back in and put the nut back on but it looks like it was leaking quite a bit of somthing from that area. can gear oil leak out right there or could it be oil from the engine?

Default trans/motor leak

Maybe a little more info might help, what year and type of vehicle, auto or manual trans, what type of fluid is leaking, mileage. See if that helps get answers.

Is it motor or, or gear oil?

Can you see if its leaking from the Disty? (a common problem that results in oil dripping down the motor and off the bellhousing)

If its motor oil, it could be the disty (easy to fix) or the rear main seal (a lot more involved).

Yea i just joined this Site didnt mean to come off as an ass. i found the vent tubes and found out i have a oil leak, but i changed the oil and put in some bars stop leak and it seams to be fine. I didnt have high expectations for it since i was suspecting it was a main rear seal leak but it seamed to do the trick.

I went wheeling and had a great time didnt break anything ecept my exhaust hah and my coil spring popped off cause it flexed to hard one way and found out one of my shocks wasnt connected, but we got it to flex the other way and pooped it back on and was fine for the day. And i pulled out a bronco 1 2 times hahah.

but any ways thanks for the help,

i have another question I heard for the check engine code you have to short a circut on that little connector next to your battery anyone know which ones it is?

by the way i have a 1990 suzuki sidekick js

Default stuff...

The thought of banning me may cross their minds, but that's life I guess. 2049 posts helping and being helped over 8 years may not count in my favor.

With that said, here goes.

There are a number of other active Zukin' websites that you might want to check out:

http://zuwharrie.com
Zukikrawlers
ZUKIWORLD online | Your Suzuki 4x4 Authority - Editorial and Forum

...and of course, my favorite:

Ack's FAQ: Suzuki Sidekick and Geo Tracker 4X4 offroading information

At Ack's FAQ's Search page, you can select the category WEBSITES and search with a blank search string field and find a large list of great zukin' websites - both private and vendor-operated!

The Offroad.com Suzuki Geo All forum has lost nearly all of it's traffic due to the immense amount of advertising and pop-ups that slow access - especially for dial-up users. That, and the fact that nearly all the advertisements are not Suzuki-related, has pretty-much killed Offroad.com as a popular Zuker's Information Destination.

Unfortunately, I don't know if there is anything Offroad.com can do to revive this once-great site...

Umm...pay the old timers for posting? LOL

Honestly, it is sad. Not only was the Zook forum big here, but so was Toy and Heep. I didn't mind the banners, but when they started with the pop-ups it got annoying. Then when they changed software, it didn't play nice with Norton or Symantec. Those in concert drove many away, and caused a boom in new BBS's.

Freebies would bring folks in, but so far ORC hasn't fulfilled the simple promises. Like, where's the FREE STICKERS?!?!? I sign up, give more personal info, and a year later...NADA! Well, fool me once...
