| | Shackle reverse back to stock ?\'s Im very seriously contemplating ditching the shackle reverse and goin back to the way it was setup stock, with the shackle in the front.
I know that i have to make boxes for the rear of the spring and put a shackle up front, basically jus flip it around from what i have now. My question is what am i forgetting. Is this gonna screw up castor angles, driveshaft angles, etc.
Im guessing since i have a 4.5 inch shackle in the rear of the front spring it will work in the front.
Not for positive that im gonna do this but its seriously lookin that way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| | Re: Shackle reverse back to stock ?\'s Will,
With all your problems with spoa and shackel reverse why dont you go back to the standard config with slight mods? I'm still spua and only have a 2 inch shackle lift. Of course I dont do rock crawling but do have the virtual lift. It clears most local stuff on 31s.
I've just bought a Jimny. Its mint but has coils all round. I think coils up front on the Sammy will be an interesting option. You can also move the axel forward a bit too.

| | Re: Shackle reverse back to stock ?\'s Since your going to have to make new stuff anyway, have you given any thought to inboarding your front springs? |

| | Re: Shackle reverse back to stock ?\'s It will change the castor some....might have to cut the perches loose, and rotate the axle slightly to keep the kingpins straight up. I would move it all around first, and see what it's going to look like.
I have run my YJs shackle up front for years now, I get some wrap in the rear...but nothing like you are getting, and I don't even run a track bar. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
