Default Runnin Rich

Ive got a 90 samurai with a bone stock 1.3 and tbi. Its always run a touch rich but its gotten so bad that i cant drive it with the top on.

I thought it might be blow buy or sumthin but its not oil. Its jus runnin that rich.

Does anybody have any ideas what it might be. Ive checked most all parts that could cause it. Changed the plugs and the o2 sensor. Cleaned the injector, ran 93 octane to try to get a more complete burn, etc.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

are you running a cat??
I've been told that if you run a EFI motor with out a cat for a little backpressure it will run rich.

So your nose is telling you you're running rich?

If you're running 93, advance your timing ~ 3 ~ 4 * (experiment, max timing before knock is heard, then back it off like 1 ~ 2 *).

Get a cat, it helps a LOT (with the smell..).

I dont want to run 93. Its 3.04 a gallon or better. Im gonna check my timing here in a bit.

Ive never messed with the timing on this motor. Until now it has ran GREAT, so ive always jus left it alone.

Thanks again for the help.
