Default Cultus motor???

Ok I think I may have sourced a cultus motor for my sammy swap, The guy can't verify but, it's a 1.3 DOHC g13b from Japan, How can I verify this without seeing it?
Also can I run the wiring harness and ecu from a swift gt found in the US, or will I need the computer from the Cultus?

I believe the Cultus is a DOHC motor. I think CapN had one for his sammy might want him to chime in

Yes the cultus motor is basically the Japanese version of the swift GT, only had a few more horses, and a different compression ratio. The motor I found is the same price as other gt motors I have found so it's worth the gamble non the less I just wish I had a way to really find out if it's a cultus and if a US spec gt ECU will run it right. If this is an help I plan on running a chip in the computert as well, One of those chips off the teamswift store I think it's the Tom's chip

The cultus will have an integrated Mass air flow meter with the throttle plate (the two are ONE, not seperate!). The intake plenium (thing that the individual runners mate to) will be ROUND. It should say EPI (electronic PETROL injection).
There should be a 4:1 HEADER, not a cast iron manifold.

I don't think they have an oxygen sensor.

If you see a cast iron exhaust manifold, squareish CAST intake manifold PLENIUM, and a SEPERATE MAF (air flow meter), it is NOT a cultus...

ps.. You'll NEVER find the wire harness, what are you going to do about EFI?

I know I'll never find a wiring harness for a cultus but I can easily get one for the GT. As far as EFI goes My sammy is a 91 so I'm already Fuel Injected. I really want to go with a high HP motor but don't have the skill to do something like that, the toyota 4AGE or 4AGZE would be my favorite choice, but.....If it is the cultus motor I hope to recoup some of my cost by selling off the cultus header. I here these are in high demand, and since I can't use it.
Thanks for the info Nowwhere.
Does anyone know about the computer issue?

Why did you give up on the project from what I have seen it's pretty straight forward. Bolts to current mounts, need to do the disty mod, run an electric fan, figure out the water inlet/outlet issue, and finally (the big boy) wiring harness. Is there something I'm missing here. I would like to do the wiring myself but I think I'll fub that up. I think Whazoo from here does them for a price.

Have you been able to contact Whazoo? I would like to but haven't managed to. Good luck on your project!

I lost interest in it. There were too many gremlins to chase.
