Yes, a regular segment on the Canadian-produced syndicated comedy show "SCTV Network 90" that spun off into the movie "Strange Brew".

I wonder if CTBrent will snag a tuke during the trip...

"How's it goin', eh?"
HAHA... I am loafing around Sean's house waiting for some laundry to dry. We got in pretty late last night after what I would deem one of my most stressful drives ever. The first two hours were white washes which slowed me down a little. The last four hours were complete misery. There were huge gusts of wind blowing me all over. At one point my truck and trailer were almost sideways on the highway. Talk about butt muscle concentration! I am a pretty relaxed guy when I am driving alone but I was doing all I could to stay calm. about 100km from home my tranny started acting really funky... the whole truck was shaking. That really slowed me down from slow to much slower.
But the Canadians were there in a pinch. Sean and Ray are like Canada's version of Batman and Robin. They hear I am having troubles and they are out the door. Minutes after I arrived at the fuel station a tow truck Ray sent was there for me. Luckily I didn't need it. By my standard it was cold while I was figuring out what was wrong... by every other Canadian on the planet it was a balmy spring evening.
I am learning a lot about Canadian culture. They drink potpurri water (and it is pretty good) and they have changed the names on many things to be able to pick out and pick on the foreigners.
I feel really luck to have been on this trip. Everyone has been so great. I look forward to meeting a few more of you stateside, that is, if my buddies in customs let me come home with my LWB. I won't be coming home without it.
If I don't post soon... I'm sure one of my NE buddies will chime in my current antics as I make my way.
Thanks all...Eh
Brent

Actually it was Sean who called the towtruck. He drives a 5-ton (I think) for a local tow company so he just called one of his buddies - er buddiettes (female towtruck driver) to go pick up Brent because we thought his tranny was gone. Sean and I arrived soon after in my PSD ready to tow the trailer home, but as things turned out somebody forgot to check the tranny fluid on their tow vehicle. So all was well, except for the skating rink we call a highway. As we were leading Brent back to Sean's house we came across a '78 Cadillac in the ditch. So being nice guys as we are we decided to pull him out. Well this moron floors it as I'm backing him out of the ditch, and as I pop him out he keeps his foot into it swerving wildly backwards nearly slamming into my front bumper. He would have hit me if I hadn't sped back to avoid him.
Anyway, Brent's newly acquired Suzuki pick-up truck is in pieces in his truck and trailer. Looks like it's in decent shape and should make for an interesting project. Can't wait to see the final product.
He still has three days of driving yet before he makes it home to Connecticut. Glad it's not me.

Hey guys, just got a call from a very excited CTBrent. He just crossed the border back into the US without any hassle whatsoever from US Customs regarding the Zuk. This was a big concern for him as he thought there might be a possibility the Zuk would get rejected at the border.
