1.3 is a standard V belt.
1.6 is a multi-rib

1.3 stuff on a 1.6

how this happened was he called a junkyard for a 1.3 and he said he had a block be bought off someone and wanted 300.00 for it. he sent his wife and see talked him down to 150.00
got it how and it was different he called me up
i went and looked at it he got a 1.6 16v rebuilt block for 150.00 well we put all the stuff off the 1.3 on the 1.6 but he had to find the bottom timing gear for the 1.6 (1.3 wont fit) then he cut the timing cover about a month later and he snapped the cam in 3 places and we replaced the head and has not had any prob. since and this was last summer 02
