Thick White Smoke

Just got my first break since before the war so I'm back for a minute. A little while back I posted about a 30 mile "cruise control" run with the Capn when my Zuk overheated and ain't been quite right since. Well, one of the symptoms was that my heater didn't work quite right anymore and I had to constantly fill the rad but wasn't leaking coolant anywhere. My first hint was the smell of burning glycol, but no big deal right?
Well Samurai life(Zen) is a perfect thing. While double parked in front of work(of all places)today, I turn the key and.....GREAT BIG HUGE F-N CLOUDS of white smoke came pouring out of the exhaust-most impressive. Can you say blown head gasket?
But the positive side is when I go home tonight, head hanging down---"Honey, that old engine finally quit on me. Guess I'll have to start that engine swap now". Hehehehehe. [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

It's an amazing site if you're lucky enough to blow the head gasket when idling. A head gasket blew in one of my Zuks while I left it idling in a 7-11 parking lot. It looked like a San Fran fog bank rolled in.

I'm tellin' ya' you need to have me hook you up with a 16V! [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] But you need to hurry, we took 3 more out of Hart's on Wednesday and they're gettin' scarce. I think it's just OBD2s there now. But, still a few low mileage engines available. The last few are being reserved for close personal friends...
