Default OME springs

Just ordered a 1.6 kit and Isky cam from Rocky Road for a 1.6 that I am rebuilding for installation in my 91' Sammy. Any special advise would be appreciated from those with some experience in this swap or rebuild. My question really relates to the oil pan for this thing. If I remember other's notes on this, I need a 2" lift to use the 1.6 oil pan. Is this correct, and will the OME springs give me this lift. My springs are pretty much shot anyway, and I'm trying to keep the lift as close to stock as I can.

Thanks for any help
Scot

you can modify your 1.3 pan, Glenn should be able to help you with that. also, you don't need to pull your transmission, you can drill it in place and save yourself alot of time, otherwise it is an easy install.

You'll actually want more like 3" of lift to be safe on the oil pan. Some great extra insurance would be to move the axle forward. If you like, when we send your engine kit out, I can include instructions from our complete "4incher lift kit" which outlines how to mave the front axle up. Send me a regular email if this would help gwbuild@summitoffroad.com
