I have a knock in the driver's side of my front axle which I cannot find. It only happens when I turn and is in the first part of the turn - most notably when I turn from left to right. It will happen when the vehicle is moving or not moving. When I turn it's almost like there's a hesitation in the turn then, "knock." I can feel it radiate up through the steering column and in the floor beneath my feet. This has gotten noticably worse since I slammed the driver's front tire headlong into an embankment (several times) this last weekend. It does not affect the car's steering; it just knocks - I'm stumped. Any ideas?
If your fronts open real easy becuase youll have no front wheel drive.. If your locked also same deal, get in some slipperey stuff, look out the window and floor it. if it spins your not broke [img]images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] If its sittin in the garagre right now jack the front end up. a CRACKED birf will still feel ok if you lightly spin the tire wich is moslt likely cuz ive cracked 3 and heard the same noises. BUT if its in gear you can usualy grab the tire and turn real hard and it will finaly give and youll hear it ratchet....
