first post here I've seen the cajun limo which has been streached but no extra doors.http://i18.yimg.com/18/a424dc8/g/2/5799b3ee.jpg This is what I'm thinking about doing this summer. I'm LQQKing for a donar hardtop. I allready have the soft top . ¿ so what do you think, is it doable???

Sure, it's doable. How are you planning on stiffening the frame, and also the sidewalls of the body. Remember, the doors' hinge areas are supported by the firewall. Strength might be a problem here, unless it had a tube skeleton. Might be fun,

There is a stretched Sami running around. It's kinda like the pic you have. I can't remember who it belongs to though. Maybe someone can refresh my memory. I remember seeing some pics of it about a year ago...
I HAVE A PIC AT HOME WHICH IS ALSO ON THE BOARD BUT IT'S NOT SHOWING IT WAS A HARDTOP STREACHED AND HAD A REMOVEABLE HARDTOP ON REAR BUT NO EXTRA DOORS

I am thinking about stretching one as a safari tour vehicle for the local zoo.
Looking at the frame, it would appear to be simpler to do the frame stretch at the transfer case area under the driver since the frame is parallel there. Once past this section, the frame rises AND spreads to the rear spring mounts. Your pic looks like the splice would be made somewhere in the non-parallel area after the frame rises.
By splicing at the transfer case area, you also preserve the geometry of the frame at the rear axle and eliminate a lot of engineering nightmares.
I was thinking of using 2 x4 11 gage steel box beam for the frame material and fabbing the extension sheetmetal based on measurements taken from the cross-section of the tub as cut just before the wheel wells/after the Targa Bar.
It won't be much of an offroader, but it'll turn heads and do the job of driving slow thru narrow trails of the zoo. Plus, it will be economical to operate!
