Default 5.12s and 33s?

Im looking at an 86 sammy with a 1.6 16v FI, hybrid rear w/5.12 and limited slip sitting on 33s with a spoa lift. Ive got a couple of questions I was hoping someone might be able to help me with, first of all is the 1.6 and 5.12s going to be alright for a daily driver? Is the clutch going to be under a lot of stress? And what kind of gearing options do I have for the front as far as 5.12s go? Thanks a bunch for looking at my question.

According to the formula I have been given ( mphxgearx366/tire diameter)

at 60 mph you will be pushing 3400 rpms.

Horse-power band on the 1.6 16v is about 2800-5200 rpms give or take.

Generally you want to fall between 60% and 80% of the powerband. So yer barely in the range you want to be in HP wise @ 60 mph. At lower speeds yer going to be below the power band so you will experience 'sluggishness' comapred to stock Sidekicks because the torque output is also in the higher rpms.

So to answer the question, you'll be a little slow from stop sign to stop sign, and on the highway you'll be pushing 4300+ rpms to do 75mph, but driveable in my opinion.

Hope this helps.

I sure would like to get it and probably will if it is in good shape, I have an 86 right now that has a 2 inch spring lift and 33s, with some wheel well mods.. aka sawzall and a hammer that I have run pretty hard still runs good but this one looks like a good deal for the money, Ill let you guys know how it turns out! Im located in Yakima, WA.
