man my uncle had a brat and it was one of the best subaru's he said he'd ever owned. I always liked the brat and thought it would be a good 2.5 sti motor swap

Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter or Brat is really one of the best station wagon of subaru. You should get it. If ever you'll need to repair or replace subaru parts or engine, I think it'll not cost you major expenses.

I was telling somebody at work the other day they should re-do the Brat with the 2.5 turbo motor. If they did it right, doing a retro look, where it actually looked like a Brat and not the gay looking Baja, they would sell a bunch of them. Maybe I should suggest it to somebody (I work at Subaru).
