SPEEDWORLD TO HOST FAN APPRECIATION PARTY
Drivers gather to meet & greet race fans

Surprise, AZ (September 08, 2009) — As part of the pre-race activities for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, (returning to Surprise on October 17 & 18) Speedworld Off Road Park will host a Fan Appreciation Party on Friday October 16, at Buffalo Wild Wings on the corner of Litchfield & Bell in Surprise.

Designed to give race fans the opportunity to interact with the drivers (in a casual setting); a gathering of this nature provides opportunities for driver autographs, photos and candid conversation with the stars of the sport.

In cooperation with Surprise hobby shop, Quick’s R/C and series sponsor (R/C car manufacturer) Team Associated, a small off road track will be built outside the venue to provide party-goers an opportunity to “test drive” the R/C cars.

“Prior to the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series event last May, we threw a party at this same Buffalo Wild Wings, and it was a big success!” said Roland Mc New, Speedworld PR & Marketing Manager”. “Everyone had a great time and since we’re constantly striving for bigger and better, we’ve expanded the concept to include an R/C demo track and some raffle prizes”, continued Mc New. “With the help of Quick’s R/C and support from Team Associated, this is going to be a lot of fun!”

The Fan Appreciation Party is open to all ages and starts at 7 PM, Friday October 16

Drivers anticipated to be in attendance include; Carl Renezeder, Cary Hart, Jeff Ward, Jerry Whelchel, Rodrigo Ampudia, Robert Naughton, Jerry Daugherty, Greg Adler, Brian Deegan, Alan Pflueger, Kevin Probst, Kent Brascho, Travis Coyne, Chris Brandt, Robby Woods, Todd Cuffaro and many more!


With nearly 8,000 fans on hand for the inaugural race in May, the anticipated crowd in October exceeds 10,000.

Known as “SHORT COURSE” racing, the entire race course is visible from the grandstands and provides spectators with non-stop, door to door, fender banging action.
