How are you guys buildin these things? ive been desing a super long travel suspion frame and all but i have decided that steel would just be to heavy and I know that some of you guys have made aluminum frames for your RCs so could some one tell me how you are hooking the peices together? Im pretty sure you cant solder alumnum together like you can steel but Im not sure.

is this strong nuff to withstand 7-10ft jumps? i mean i dont want to jump it then have the hole thing explode on me, and what thikness of aluminum are ya usin?

you should not have a problem with the frame handleing the jumps. just make sure that you have some spare axle tubes on hand. The 4 link bars will likely bend before you bend the frame. i'll take some pics over the weekend and post them for you on monday of my frame. it is by no means perfect, but it works great. for some more detailed pics and great discussions visit this website:
I am pretty sure im gonna build a huge truss for the reearend, a truss that the trusses will be trussed... and will have virtualy no ground clearnce, but hey its gonnna be a jump truck
