i need help getting started with the baja(may be wrong forum, if so sorry)

my friend and i are trying to start racing in the baja races along with whatever off road racing thing we can and don't know a single thing... what classes are there? what kind of cars comepete in those classes? spill all your knowledge from your melons onto a reply and press enter!!! please and thank you.
