Default yfz450 shocks on a raptor?

Anyone ever try to swap them. One of my buddys has a set of shocks of his yfz. He crashed it, and is replacing everthing in the front end. They are fine with no problems. Would they fit? I am not even sure if they would help with the raptor, but they were so nice on the yfz. I can get them cheap. Just wondering if they would be an upgrade or not?

doesnt hurt to try, you might need to replace the bushings, but I think it might fit with some elbow grease, they are the same length if I am not mistaken

go for it, you have nothing to loose

The only problem I could see with YFZ shocks on a Raptor would be the stock YFZ springs might be too soft for the extra weight of the Raptor, but if they are the same length and diameter, you might be able to use the Raptor springs on them and make it work.

Default shocks

yes they will work, i just did it on a friends 660. you have to notch the bottom a-arm so the 450 shocks will fit.try to put them on and you will see where they need to be notched...
