i don't know why, but i do not have any power to the lights to my license plate, checked all fuses (i'm pretty sure) and the bulbs look good...any ideas? its a 4x4 02 tacoma, reg cab. anyone else have this problem? thanks.
well, i took it to autozone and he said that there was no power to the sockets and agreed the light bulbs themselves were good. i think when i have a day to take it to the dealer thats what i'm going to do. i don't think its something i can fix.

Did you check the fuse? Car been rearended or something maybe a hack install on a trailer hitch wiring? 02 toyota with electrical problem? Somthing has got to be aftermarket or tampered with.
check and make sure the light socket is grounded. even if you get a test light to light, the socket itself may not be grounded. if you can, test the socket using the socket's ground.
good luck.
