 1980 CJ5 Jeep
Hi all,
Last year I bought a 1980 CJ5 Jeep. It is not in the best of condition, but joining a forum like this will keep me motivated to finish the job. It came with a fiberglass hardtop, but the doors are junk. So far I've gutted the dash, bought new wiring, a new heater box, welded some seams shut and put in new wiper linkage, a new steering column with new linkage. If it wasn't snowing right now, I'd take a picture of it to post.
Future work will include a Chevy 350, a stronger transmission and full width axles. To that end I've begun collecting books for various jeep and 4X4 websites to help me plan how to do what I want to do.
