Thanks. Went just for the day on Saturday. Luckily got home before the "toad-strangler" hit that night (14-18" rain overnight locally). Larry Fleming (Master Blaster truck from Texas that was at St. Charles 08/28/99) took 3rd in III. Bunch of problems in class V getting shut down before they ran out of arena.

One of our locals with a new truck (Dan Gerding) took 5th in III. Good running Ranger with a 514". Only problem I had was some of the roads were closed, but nothing that slows down my approach to work (well, Tuesday one road I use went under, but I had an alternate route). That and our build permit on our new house was held up due to the county working on flood assessment. We had someone scheduled to break ground today since the permit should have been approved by Monday. Now, it'll be at least another week.

Well, got a first and a second in Wisconson. But also broke the rear end causing the engine to over rev and a nitrous explosion. Engine seems fine but need a new air cleaner and some parts for the only Ford piece on it, the 9 inch in the back. What a way to break in a new engine.

I had a mini-spool, it sheared the cross shafts. I have to go again this weekend, so with the limited time, I picked up another carrier and ordered some hardened shafts. Then I hope to be able to put some better axles and a full spool. Since I run on a limited budget I tend to put the money into things that make me go faster, now it may be time for things to go fast longer.

My whole truck is made from used parts. But, sometimes you have to put the crowbar in the wallet. For me, I think I'm going to have to spend real money on a REAL starter!

i know what you mean about the starter! autozone will only warranty those lifetime ones so many times!!! i to know about the budget thing. luckily i had a friend that did diff building and sponsored me the gears for the front and built my front dana 44. my 9in i built several years ago and was thinking of drag racing. it has richmond pro gears and "strange" full spool. have not had any problems with it yet.
