Default 35 spline 9\"

Seeing as my Toy is in the shop for a little while for susp and headers. I've got 28 spline axles on my early Bronco 9" with a lock-right. I'm looking at getting some 31 splined axles cut locally. Can a 35 spline be cut out of a full length 31. Also where would I look for 35 spline side gears for my Lock-right, if they work? I posted this on the Early Bronco forum to no responce. Would 35 spline axles be worth the effort, or should I just get some 31's seeing as the side gears would be more plentifull?
Thanks in advance PJL.
p.s. I'm about 4400 lbs soaking wet with 40"ish tires, and a 225 hp Ford 5.0, C-6, NP205

Stay with the 31 splines. Not worth the extra money to go to 35. With all of my hauling and racing on a 9" rear, I've only broken an axle once. It broke right after the splines but luckily the axle was still supported by the diff. bearings. Seeing that I had a Detroit locker in it I was able to make it home OK. Racing - I was running a 460 cid and 38x16x15 S. Swampers with no problems.

Did it go together nice and easy? You did something wrong. Will have to do it again.

Thanks, you've eased my mind, and probably cost.
