The "Kajun" Mudfest" will be hosted at the Florida Parishes Arena in Amite, Louisiana (about an hour North of New Orleans via I55) on March 14 & 15.
This will be a mud racing event, featuring 2 side-by-side mud racing pits under a covered arena. Truck classes and ATV's.
RV camping is welcome, with a limited number of power/water hookups by reservation and acres more for parking with a generator, etc. (For RV hookup site info, email

Sat. March 14th, pit gates open at Noon, spectator gates open at 5 pm and racing starts at 6 pm.
Sun. March 15th, pit gates open at Noon, spectator gates open at 1 pm and racing starts at 2 pm.
Racer's entry fee is $25 per class, per day and includes racer's pit admission. Pit admission fees are $20 for 1 day or $30 for weekend pass. Anyone under 18 must be signed in by parent/guardian or bring notarized liability release with them (contact same email above for form). Spectator admission is $10 for adults & teenagers, $5 for children age 4-12 and ages 3 & under admitted free (pits or grandstands).
There will also be a "Miss Kajun Mudfest 2009" contest (swimsuit contest) held at "intermission" on Saturday night. No entry fee, but all contestants must be 18 or older and register by 5:30 pm at the "merchandise stand". PG-rated swimsuits only, please. 1st place will receive $100 cash, trophy, tiara, sash and will be featured in all advertising for 2009 events.
Kids' activities will also be included, such as foot races in the mud, a scavenger hunt, bouncy house and more.
