Default lifting the frame of a monster truck

Has anyone lifted a chevy shortbed (77) around 16 inches to accomidate for 44 inch tires (this already has a 6 inch skyjacker suspension), this truck is a 1948 - 55 chevy pick up? I WILL NOT CUT THE FENDERS TO ACCOMIDATE THE TIRES!Does anyone know of a website or magazine/book that has any plans for the suspension-I do welding, fab work ect. I have read where the manufacturers say not to put spacers between spring and differential on the front. I could possibly cut the spring perches and weld a plate to the frame to lower the mounts to acheive the height.....any comments or ideas on any of this? THANKS
