Default pulling headers

Is it ok to use pulling headers on a truck for mud runs or is there to much of a risk of mud and water falling into them? I am trying to set up my S-10 for mud runs and there is not alot of room for headers so I figured straight up would be the best way.

Why not? Unless you back fire nothing that goes in them is going to go into your engine, and if you really filled them up you can always take them off and dump em out.

alot of deep mud runners and racers use the updraft style headers without any problems. I can't recall ever seeing anything fall back down in the headers. On thing to remember though, if the truck is stored outside, be sure to cover the headers with something.
