Default Not a unimog but what is it?

I was in South Africa and saw something that I thought was a Unimog but upon closer inspection wasen't. It's drivetrain went down the right hand side out side the frame!(drive shafts) It looked very much like a mog except for that and it had a funny simbol on the hood looking something like this.(attached above)

WHAT IS THIS THING? - I was thinking it could be one of the anti-land mind truck they have down there that look very much the same.

You are absolutely right. It's one of the South African mine proof trucks. If it sets off a land mine, the chances of the driveshaft being destroyed and the vehicle rendered immobile are much less with the driveshaft up on the side. I'm trying to remember the name of the company. There's a whole bunch of them, from fuel trucks, to troop carriers, rocket launchers, 4x4, 6x6, tractor trailer setups, etc. If I remember the name, I'll post it.

BINGO! That's the name. Look in an issue of Jane's Armour and Artillery, under South Africa in the Armoured Personnel Carriers section for more info on them.
