Hi everyone,

Im knew to this post and had a few questions about the KIA sportage. I dont really know too much about them.

Im curious just how reliable these 4x4's are. Who makes the engines and drive line?........are the parts readily available?

Any major problems with them?..............and just how peppy are these little 4 cylinders?

Thanking everyone in advance for any info they can shed .

I don't own a kia, but I can answer a few questions for you.

Kia is owned by huyndai, and are south korean in origion, both of which are made there.

I don't know much about the engine, except that it's a 2.0L 4cyl. unfortunatley, that doesn't say much since there are some damned impressive n/a four cylinders out there, Nissan, Subaru and mitsubishi all have n/a four cylinders with between 162 and 175 bhp stock. Chances are though, given the general quality of kia's that I've driven, I would guess it's sporting just over 100hp/ft-lb.
