I think you may be talking about an FC 150 / FC 170 or Forward Control. Here's a picture of one.

FC-150's came on a CJ-5 frame with the same 132 cid 4 cyl engine as the CJ. The FC-170's were on a longer frame, CJ-6 I believe, with a 226 cid inline 6 cyl engine that was also used in the Willy's Wagons and Pickup's.

the FC's are kinda neat. They were mostly commercial rigs and many were driven into the ground. The FC150's were on a CJ5 frame and 170's on something similar to the truck frames. The early models were prone to rollovers so in '59? the springs were located outboard of the frame for a wider track. They are getting a little collectible and prices range from the freebie to $10K. Bonus points for dual rear wheels of any military version. Tow truck versions probably had the dualie.
