Default Power Steering Shaft
I have a 72' Commando. I bought a power steering box and pump from a 74 Cherokee. The problem is that the steering shaft is too short. Does anyone know where I can find a sterring shaft that is at least 33 inches long. I think I need something between 33 and 36 inches. The Commando has a spring over. If anyone knows of another vehicle that used a Sanginaw 33 to 35 inch ie camaro or something please let me know and I can pull it off something in the junkyard. Thanks, Nico

Just cut it and weld a piece of pipe in between. That's what I did and it works fine. Make sure to leave enough room for the collaps-able section in the middle.
