Default MIKE, picture posting question.

I'm not sure I understand the deal with posting attachment.
The size is limited to 50K ? and 200x150 pixels?
It could be my system, but if I scan a picture to these parameters, it looks like a cheap quilt.
In what format should the attachment be? I can do at least 20 with this thing.

To Email, leave my Mom out of it.

There isn't a limit on number of pixels, which is a component of file size. the more pixels, the larger the filesize. Limit is 50K max. That should be around that size at normal resolution scanning. Use JPG format for better compression.

Thanks, Mike Childs

I guess so. It takes about 1-2 hours to read everything on the board with my antique, but since the shop where I worked closed, I have plenty of time.
The only auto shop in 3 counties looking for a tech is offering trainee wages, so I take in a few jobs a week and do OK. It will suck when it snows, but as the only trained mechanic in the area with extensive European and Exotic experience, something will open up.
I am accumulating parts to build a 686, 166Mz system, but it may be a month before its all there to assemble.

Well, I tried posting to the test board with a 47.2K JPEG, and it wouldn't go and said it was too big.
I had checked the FAQ and found nothing usefull.
I'll try a smaller one .
I suppose this new BBS will be good when I upgrade, but it's awfully slow for this machine.
I'll try it from my girlfriends machine this weekend.
