Need a Commando chassis

I can get a '73 Commando for $500.00 (maybe less). It has a 6 cyl (231 or 258) with automatic, a Dana 44 rear axle. The frame is bad. The left rear spring has nothing to hook to at the rear. About 3' of the frame is actually missing. Will any other Jeep frame work, or does it have to be from a Commando?

There are two for sale in our Classifieds section of the Jeepster club page. Both are in CA I think.

I am also getting a 1972 Commando , I will be parting it out as , all I want is the axles, steering etc.It has a good frame , 304 V8,Turbo400/dana 20 probably needs rebuild, right front fender has been hit, but hardtop, seats etc are all good , I should have it within 30 days... let me know what you need , I am in Northern California.
