Hi,
Just installed a new poly gas tank. It has fuel and return lines that end up at
the fuel pump. The pump has a fuel in, fuel out, and a return line. On my 1971 Commando I noticed that the parts catalog calls for a metal fuel filter with 3 ports.
In, out and return. Dumb question maybe, but where would the return of the fuel filter.go?
I ask because I am trying to chase down a fuel starvation problem and I have replaced the tank and lines, the carb, a rebuilt Rochester 2gc, and the fuel pump.
I have a clear generic see through filter on now, and when the car starts up it fills to about 1/2 full and after about 10 minutes it appears almost empty.
The jeep keeps running but it just looks abnormal to me. Is it?
Thanks,
John
