71 Jeepster rear wiring harness path?

I have a '71 hardtop and need to rewire the rear lights including the license plate light. I bought a rear wiring harness from Jeepsterman but I am unsure
of the path of the wires to the rear lights and license plate light. My old wire ran through the channel on the bottom of the rear tail gate to each tail light as well as up through the tailgate to the license plate light but it looks wrong. Anyone know???

Tubac, Your wiring appears to be correct, or should I say it is the same as mine. If you have not removed your old wiring yet simply tape your new wires to the old ones and pull it thru. I notice your user name is Tubac. Is that because you live in Tubac Az? I live in Seirra Vista. Maybe we could get together some time and swap lies. I also have a 71 and I could'nt imagine having any other kind of Jeep.

That's how I rewired mine. DO you have the complete harness up to the dash.? If not the you are doing it the right way.

Hi Bob,
Yes I live in Tubac. I just had my rig painted and the guy took off the tailgate for a repair and just snipped off the wires on each end. Just spell tubac backwards (@aol.com) if you want to reach my email.
